Bill Simbeck was born and raised in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania.
The past 42 years he worked in the engineering field of the oil industry and lived in Sheffield, Pennsylvania his entire career. Bill recently retired from United Refining Co. after 32 years of service.
About 15 years ago Bill became interested in the Bald Eagle population in Warren County. Currently he is trying to keep track of about 10 nests.
Watching eagles lead Bill into Bird and Wildlife Watching, which lead into photography.
Bill began reading photography books and magazines, bought himself a camera, and has taught himself digital photography through trial and error.
